Okay, the truth of the matter is that I pretty much blew the whole week.  So I will have to start fresh again next week.

Day 4 - Deborah

Well, I just don't know what to say for myself.  I have to pull myself up by my boot staps and get back on the saddle.  I totally blew it last night.  And I don't even know why.  I had a couple of glasses of red wine and went berserk.  One ice cream cone and one grilled cheese later I find myself this morning with a big head!  Wow.  Just like that.

So I skipped breakfast this morning and lunch and will resume the diet with dinner.  Shame, shame, shame!

I actually think I might throw up if I had to eat this lunch!  I believe I will pass.

Lunch:
Two eggs, any style (no fat used in cooking)
Low-fat cottage cheese
Zucchini, or string beans, or sliced/stewed tomatoes
One slice of protein bread, toasted
Coffee/Tea/Diet Soda/Water

Dinner: Roast, broiled or barbequed chicken (skin and visible fat removed before eating)
Plenty of spinach, green peppers, string beans
Coffee/Tea/Diet Soda/Water

Day 3 - Deborah

Another favorite day of meals.  Sometimes it seems like all I do is think of food.  Yumm, Yummm, food!  Last night I actually dreamed of eating large platters of mexican food dripping hot with melted cheese.  Ummmmmm.  I did cheat a little with 2 coke and whiskeys.  But the occassion called for it.  The one thing I am proud of is that after the 2 coke and whiskeys I didn't eat the house down!  Yahoooooo!

Breakfast is always Coffee, Grapefruit and Toast (you know the drill).

WEDNESDAY Lunch: Tuna fish or salmon salad (oil drained off)
with lemon and vinegar dressing
Grapefruit, or melon, or fruit in season
Coffee/Tea/Diet Soda/Water

Day 2 Tuesday - Deborah

Today I am meeting a friend at the Farmers Market.  We will do a 2 mile walk at the park and then load up on fruits and veggies.  I plan on taking my lunch (apples, banannas, oranges) into the movie theatre with me.  Contemplating on seeing The Kings Speech.  Not really the top of my list but it is on the Academy Awards list for Oscar.  And it is something that Bob does not want to see.  Tonight is one of my favorite menu's which is strange because it is so simple!  You can either do hamburger patties and a fabulous side salad.  Or, you can do a protein burger(hamburger patty wrapped in lettuce) with roasted brussel sprouts for the "fries".  But even as a child I loved the taste of plain, cooked hamburger!

BREAKFAST EVERY DAY: One half grapefruit -if not available, use fruits* in season
One slice of protein bread**, toasted, no spread added
Coffee /tea (no sugar, cream or milk, no honey)

Lunch:
Fruit salad, any combination of fruits
[substitute lunch recommended - see bottom of page]
Coffee/Tea/Diet Soda/Water
Dinner: Plenty of broiled, lean hamburger (see Meat & Poultry link for info)Tomatoes, lettuce, celery, olives (limit 4), cucumbers
and/or Brussels Sprouts
